Last year, the collaboration between Tencent and Kakao Friends was successfully done as the QQ X Ryan limited toy was loved by so many fans. And following that, we have designed another new toy with our lovely characters, PUPU and Apeach.

Apeach是一个调皮的桃子，发现自己是由基因突变引起的雌雄同株后,从桃树上逃了出来。它以其性感的背影吸引着人们，并且相当具有攻击性，脾气火爆。它在日本极具人气，是海外Kakao Friends中最受欢迎的人物之一。

Apeach is a mischievous peach that escaped from the peach tree after finding out itself a monoecism caused by gene mutation. Apeach charms people with its sexy back, and is quite aggressive and has hot-temper. It was the most popular character among Kakao Friends characters before Ryan was born, especially overseas, including Japan.

1. 概念|Concept

由于这两个角色生活在不同的世界观中，我们试图分析每个角色的个性来锁定概念，并找到一个共同的关键词，如 "活泼"，"烂漫"，"可爱"。通过这一过程，我们计划设计一个能够展示这两个可爱角色的相同之处的玩具。

Since these two characters live in different world views, we tried to analyze the personality of each character to define the concept, and found a common keywords such as ‘lively’, ‘cute’, and ‘lovely’. Through this progress, we planned to design a toy which can show the synergy of these two lovely characters.

通过考量关键词以及目标消费者是10-20岁的女生，我们确定了玩具的风格方向。我们打算采用粉色调的颜色，主要是粉色和紫色的渐变，搭配透明和富有光泽的材料来完成这个作品，我们猜测这可能会更容易受到年轻女生的喜爱。

Considering the main keywords and the target consumers which are 10-20 girls, we defined the style direction. We intended to apply pastel tone colors mostly pink and purple gradations, transparent and shiny materials which we think could be loved by young girls.

在开始画概念草图之前，我们分析了角色的形状。由于这款玩具要实际生产，所以我们需要考虑到角色的形状平衡或特点。PUPU是可以单独站立的，但由于他的小脚和胖胖的身体，他的姿势会有所限制。Apeach有一张大脸，但他的脚又小又圆，这使得他不容易单独站立。所以我们认为让这两个角色坐着或躺着，或者考虑在下面做一个基座是比较合适的。

We also analyzed the shape of the characters before we started the concept sketch. Considering that this toy will be actually produced, we needed to take in to account about the character’s shape balance or characteristics. PUPU can stand alone, but his pose was limited due to his small feet and fat body. Apeach had a large face but his feet are small and rounded which made it not easy to stand alone. So we thought it was appropriate to have these characters to sit or lay down, or consider to make a pedestal beneath.

我们尝试了各种应用这个概念的想法草图。在创作各种草图的过程中，我们专注于使这两个角色在一个概念中协调一致。 

We came out with various idea sketches applying the concept. While trying out various sketches, we focused on making this two characters harmonize in one concept.

在草图的基础上，我们还进行了3D测试，以检查整体形状和风格。在我们所做的各种试验中，选择了其中一个有交换对方符号的概念。我们认为这个概念可以直接传达出合作的意义，并将这个概念在不同的姿势和基座形式中进行了测试，以便这两个角色能够很好地协调起来。

Based on the sketches, we also tested in 3D to check the overall shape and style. Among various trials we have done, we chose the one which had concept of exchanging each other’s symbols. We thought this concept can convey the meaning of collaboration in direct way. This concept was tested in various poses and pedestal forms so that the two characters could be well harmonized.

由于这是一款限量的玩具，我们测试了各种材料，如金属、玻璃，以使它看起来更高级。但最后，我们选择了含有闪光剂的玻璃材料做基座，树脂做角色本体。玻璃使玩具看起来更有价值，材料之间的透明度对比也使玩具更具吸引力。

As it is a limited toy, we tested various materials such as metal or glass to make it look premium. In conclusion, we chose the glass material containing glitters for the pedestal and resin for the characters. The glass had made the toy more premium and the contrast of the transparency between the materials made the toy more attractive.

玩具设计的颜色也是经过精心挑选的。为了两个角色之间的和谐，PUPU采用了粉紫色，而不是他本来的黑色。我们还选择了玫瑰金的金属部分来配合整体色调。

The colors were also chosen carefully for the toy design. For the harmony between the two characters, PUPU was applied in pastel purple instead of black which is its original color. We also selected the metal part in rose gold color to match the overall tone.

PUPU X Apeach Limited这款玩具，材料清澈颜色柔和。我们希望在包装设计中也能表现出这种柔和的色彩和梦幻般的感觉。所以我们根据PUPU星球的圆形和Apeach，设计了一个由许多圆形组成并配以柔和的渐变色图形。

PUPU X Apeach Limited Toy has a very clear material and soft colors. We wanted to show this pastel colors and dreamy feeling in the package design too. So we designed a graphic of many circle shapes with soft gradient colors, based on the circular shape of PUPU planet and the peach of the toy.

Final Package Design (Box, Certification Card, Poster)

我们大量使用粉红色，设计了一个看起来像PUPU和Apeach漂浮在粉红色空间的图案。我们希望它能受更多年轻女生的欢迎。因为图案主要是用简单的圆形设计的，这样可能看起来有点单一，所以我们加入了沙子的纹理，使它看起来更为生动。

We used pink a lot and designed a graphic that looks like PUPU and Apeach floating in pink space. We hope it can appeal to many young girls. It could look a bit boring because the graphic is designed mostly with simple circle shapes, so we added sandy texture to make it look more vivid.

我们选择用一个独特形状的盒子，让每个玩具都在一个单独的空间里，并且盒子的两边都能打开，所以我们特意调整了图案以适应这种结构。我们做了很多测试，使图形从盒子的任何一面看起来都很自然，并完成了最后的设计。

We chose a unique box shape in which each toy is in a separate space and the box opens on both sides, so we paid particular attention to adjust the graphic to fit this structure. We tested a lot to make the graphic look natural from any sides of the box and completed the final design.

我们还用同样的色调设计了限量版玩具身份卡。

We also designed the limited toy certification card in the same tone.

完成包装设计后，我们还用同样的图形设计了一张海报。在包装设计中，PUPU和Apeach被设计成略微分开，因为包装的结构是两面打开。但在海报设计中，我们将PUPU和Apeach设计得更加紧密，漂浮在空间中。

After finishing the package design, we also designed a poster using the same graphic. In the package design, PUPU and Apeach are designed to be slightly separated because of the structure of the package that opens on both sides. But for the poster, we designed PUPU and Apeach to be more closer to each other, floating in the space.

视频的主要概念是两个角色各自世界的协调。基于玩具的设计，它是一套两个玩具，有两个视频以相同的格式分开，以展示每个世界在同一个宇宙中的互动。PUPU和Apeach所踩的球体成为大型玻璃行星，这两个角色通过在对方的游乐场游玩而和谐相处。

The main concept of the video is the harmony of the two character worlds. Based on the toy design, which is two toys in one set, there are two videos separated in the same format to show each world interacting in one universe. The spheres which PUPU and Apeach step on become the large glass planets, and those two characters harmonize by playing in each other's playground.

宣传片计划由两个独立的视频组成，在同一个玩具的主题下，成为一个捆绑的视频。视频是从角色的近距离开始，当镜头切换到全貌时，便逐渐显示出他们奔跑的地方是对方的星球。我们通过同一个短小但简单的故事，将这两个视频连接起来。

The promotional videos were planned to become a bundle by two separated videos under the theme of the toy. It starts with the characters up close, but it shows that the places they run around are each other’s planet when the camera changes to a full shot. The two videos were connected by having the same short but simple story.

动画的进程集中在具有愉快和活泼个性的人物身上。他们根据自己的特点以不同的节奏移动，如PUPU像企鹅一样在星球表面滑行，而Apeach快乐地跳跃，让星星散落在它周围。它们的运动路径也进行了调整，使其与背景中的玻璃星球不会互相影响。

The run cycles were focused on the characters who has pleasant and bright personalities. They move in different rhythms according to their own characteristics such that PUPU slides on the surface of the planet like a penguin while Apeach jumps happily, scattering the stars around itself. Their path of movements were also adjusted so that the glass planets in the background are not bothered.

在这个视频中，我们把重点放在玩具的颜色和材料上。整体风格被设定为柔和的粉色和紫色，混合在干净的玻璃表面。我们使用了一些背景元素让视觉效果的饱满，如PUPU星球周围的云彩和Apeach星球上飞舞的花瓣。

In this video, we focused on the color and materials of the toys. The overall style was set as the soft pink and purple blends on a clean glass surface. There are also background elements that help the visual effect, such as clouds around the PUPU planet or petals flying on the Apeach planet.

这款联名玩具展示了PUPU ALIENS和Kakao Friends最萌趣可爱的人物。期待您在观看PUPU和Apeach的可爱面孔时，脸上会露出快乐的笑容。

This collaboration toy introduces the most lovely and vivid characters of Tencent and Kakao Friends. We expect you to have a happy smile on your face while looking at these cute faces of PUPU and Apeach toy.
